Saumil Majmudar currently serves
as CEO at SportzVillage. He brings over 11 years
of experience in leading new ventures and market
initiatives. Saumil previously worked with Wipro
Global R&D and FutureSoft and was earlier
CEO of Learn@Home, CEO of Support. He holds a
B-Tech degree from IIT-Bombay and an MBA degree
from IIM-Bangalore.
B Jayashankar
serves as Director at SportzVillage. His previous
experience includes roles with Mudra, Grey Worldwide.
He was also COO at Qsupport. Jayashankar holds
degrees in Science from Loyola College, Chennai
and an MBA from IRMA, and was a Champion Javelin
thrower at college.
Jitendra Joshi currently
serves as Director at SportzVillage. Jitendra
formerly worked with KPMG Consulting and was also
CEO of Rustic Creations (greeting card company)
and Founder of Baron Infotech (PC manufacturer).
Jitendra holds degrees in engineering from University
of Bombay and MBA from Clemson University, USA
Tapan Siwach
currently serves as Director at SportzVillage
as well as Trustee at India Sports Equity Foundation,
Director at Inspire Design and Partner at Rare
Indian Art. Tapan's previous professional experience
was with Schlumberger Oilfield Services, where
he was involved in a technology / operations role
across 4 countries. He also completed part-time
projects with International Olympics Committee
and with 3i Plc. Tapan completed his B-Tech from
IIT-Delhi and MBA from INSEAD. Tapan has competed
at junior nationals in Yoga, high-school nationals
in Basketball, & junior state level in Athletics

Dr. George Selleck is an equity participant in
SportzVillage and is on our advisory board as
well.
Dr. George A. Selleck has over
40 years of diverse experience as a psychologist,
management and organizational consultant, educator,
motivational speaker, author, coach, referee and
athlete. He is the recipient of the prestigious
1997 Distinguished Service Award from the California
State Athletic Directors Association (CSADA) in
recognition of his service to interscholastic
athletics, a lifelong dedication he brings to
his current role as Founder and President of Sports
for Life, Inc.
Founded by Selleck in 1997,
Sports for Life is a 501(c)(3) California nonprofit
organization dedicated to promoting the value
of sports education -- the concept that every
skill necessary to prepare young adults to become
successful adults and community leaders can be
learned through involvement in the sports experience.
Through specialized leadership training, innovative
middle school and high school curricula and targeted
programming, Sports for Life works to create locally
driven programs to enrich sports in communities
nationwide.
Named the "California High
School Basketball Player of the Year" while
at Compton High School, Selleck went on to distinguish
himself as a premier guard at Stanford University.
He was elected to the 1956 All-American Team and
was later inducted into Stanford University's
Basketball Hall of Fame. Following graduation,
Selleck applied his playing experience to coaching
positions at Stanford University and Brentwood
High School in Los Angeles, where he was twice
named the High School Coach of the Year by the
Los Angeles Times. He went on to serve as an NCAA
basketball referee for 13 years.
A psychologist by training,
Selleck has advanced degrees from Stanford University,
Princeton University, and the University of Southern
California, and spent 15 years in private practice
as a counseling psychologist. Integrating his
knowledge of human behavior and his experience
as an accomplished athlete and coach, Selleck
has become a national seminar and workshop specialist.
His specially designed programs have impacted
more than 10,000 students, athletes, parents,
coaches and administrators involved in youth sports,
as well as many prominent national corporate executives.
Selleck has served as a key
consultant and featured speaker to hundreds of
organizations, including the NBA Rookie Transition
Program, The American Basketball Coaches Association,
the National Association of Athletic Directors,
San Diego Hall of Champions "Say Yes to Sports"
program, U.S. Tennis Association, American Youth
Soccer Organization, and the annual Volleyball
Festival for Women. He has conducted workshops
for the coaching staffs of over 90 NCAA member
institutions. His roster of corporate and public
sector clients includes ITT, Prudential Preferred
Financial, Hewlett Packard, Dow Chemical, Control
Data, Southern California Edison, Oklahoma Gas
and Electric, Igloo Products Company, ClearFreight,
Acapulco Restaurants, Inc., the City of Santa
Monica and the City of Manhattan Beach.
Selleck is the author of several
books, including How to Play the Game
of Your Life: A Guide to Success in Sports and
in Life (Diamond Communications, 1995),
The Student-Athlete's Recruiting Handbook
(Leisure Press, 1984), Court Sense: The
Invisible Edge in Basketball and in Life (Diamond
Communications, 1998), and co-author of From
the Bleachers with Love: Advice to Parents with
Kids in Sports, and its companion book,
Beyond the Bleachers: The Art of Parenting
Today's Athletes. He is a contributing
editor to Junior League Baseball and is regularly
published in Pro Athlete, Athletic Business and
